Valentines Day Date Ideas

February 12, 2018

I am such a hopeless romantic, which means that I absolutely love Valentines Day. When it comes to how you celebrate it, there are a few options! Of course you can go out to a fancy dinner, but if you don’t want to deal with the crowds then these are some fun ideas to try. If you’re single, grab your girlfriends and have a Galentines night!

Build a Blanket Fort

When my sister and I were kids we would build blanket forts with the dining room table chairs. Then, we would just hang out under there in our little tent. We’d read, play games, giggle…it was so much fun. And, it’s still fun as adults! Order a pizza, put on Netflix, and cuddle up.

Go Back to Your First Date

Think back to the first date the two of you went on together. Then re-visit it!

Check Off Your To-Do List

You know all of those places and things you’ve said that you want to visit/do in your town? Write them all down, and then create a plan of action to hit all of them in one day! Take it to the next level by taking a photo at each place, and compile a little scrapbook!

Stargaze Indoors

Visit your local planetarium and look at the stars together. Or, if you’re somewhere where it’s actually warm then you can stargaze outdoors!

Cook Dinner Together

Create a menu that you’ll both enjoy and then get cooking! If you need some ideas, Meghan Leigh posts some delicious recipes on her blog.

Hand Out Flowers at a Nursing Home

If you want to brighten someone else’s day, buy a bouquet of flowers and hand them out to the folks at your local nursing home! They will love you forever and ever.

No matter what you decide to do this Valentines Day, I hope you enjoy it!
