You know how every once in awhile, a stranger comes into your life and you just hit it off as if you’ve always known each other? That’s what it felt like when I met Elli for our 1-on-1 mentoring session. And I’m 99.99% sure that’s just how she makes anyone feel who comes into her life. This girl drove all the way from Columbus, Ohio for our 1-on-1 and brought so much joy with her!
We met at Union Coffee in Buchanan, MI and talked about editing, finding your ideal clients, pricing yourself, and so much more! I walked her through my editing workflow and showed her my favorite programs to use that bring efficiency to my workflow.
Next, we visited Autumn Moon Hollow Spa for hair & makeup by Lexi Pollock! Elise and Lexi always do such an amazing job.
I took some fresh headshots for Elli, and then we went on to our styled shoot in St. Joe!
Sara and Alex drove all the way from Chicago to model for us! I went to summer camp with Sara when we were little, and she’s actually the one who inspired me to pursue photography! When we were in highschool, she participated in the 365 Day Challenge and after seeing her photos for awhile (she was pretty good!), I decided to challenge myself. I told myself to just take one new photo each day, it didn’t matter what it was, and messed around with editing styles and such. I haven’t stopped since! All thanks to her. 😉
A huge thanks to Inertia Cycleworks for letting us incorporate one of their bicycles into the shoot!
Harper was the cutest addition to the shoot!
